The Semple Family Museum of Native American Art opened its doors in 2021 and features historic artwork created by 80 Indigenous artists that represent 37 tribes. The museum has proven to be a campus highlight for visitors, alumni, and students.
A future expansion will allow the museum to showcase additional permanent and rotating exhibits. This will provide greater opportunities to display the unique and vast collection of Native American artifacts and art. New areas will include interactive spaces for education, cultural programming, and hands-on workshops, enriching the museum experience for students, scholars, and the community.
This project will create a vibrant hub for educational programs, outreach events, and collaborations with Native American tribes and communities.
Your contribution will further our mission to have the Semple Family Museum recognized as a world-class museum honoring Native American art, history, and culture. We hope to increase our impact on the community, foster understanding, and preserve these treasures for the future.
Architectural work is already underway for this expansion project, and there is availability for naming gifts associated with the new space. For information about making a naming gift to the Semple Family Museum of Native American Art expansion project, contact Mark Webb at 580-745-2361.
