Southeastern Oklahoma State University is striving to be the model Division II institution and continue our storied history of athletic and academic accomplishment. We are coming off another record-breaking year as we continue our unrelenting success in the field of play and in the classroom. Our student-athletes and coaches could not be producing at such a high level without the incredible support of our fans and sponsors.
Southeastern Oklahoma State University has a tradition of excellence in our athletics competition and in the classroom. Competitively, Savage and Savage Storm student-athletes have earned 197 athletic and academic All-American awards in our 105 year history. We have won 18 conference and 25 division championships since becoming a membership of NCAA Division II. In addition, over 40% of our student-athletes consistently achieve a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better and over half are listed on our Athletic Directors Honor Roll each semester (3.0 GPA for the semester).
Our over 370 student-athletes, coaches and staff give back to the community by volunteering for over 1,000 service hours annually to a variety of initiatives.
Aligning with the University's mission of "students will develop skills and habits that promote values for career preparation, responsible citizenship, and lifelong learning", our top priority within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is to assist in the development of our student-athletes.
